As I lectured I misspoke a few times, at about 2:29 I should have said vertical distance, 8:20 we are looking for the highest degree of the denominator, and at 23:07 x greater than n like it was written.
In the third example at 17:25, you should divide by the largest degree in the denominator, so I should be dividing by x^3 or multiplying by 1/x^3 here.  Luckily my final answer is still correct.  I would have had 0/1=0.  I incorrectly say in this lesson that the square root of x squared is x.  The square root of x squared is the absolute value of x.

I explain how to find the domain values where a curve has a slope of zero using the first derivative.  I also explain how we can look at the sign changes of the first derivative to identify relative maximums and minimums.
ERROR NOTICE:  In the last example I only did solutions for x restricted to [0,2pi).  Without this restriction the solutions should have been expanded to include all possible solutions.  x=π/2+nπ, π/6+2nπ and 5π/6+2nπ.

Newton's Method Linear Approximation Estimating a Zero of a Function Calculus 1 AB

I introduce Rolle's Theorem and work through two examples.  My first diagram in my explanation of Rolle's Theorem, should have labelled function f not g.  Part of the video was removed because you can see at 6:44 I wrote x as the square root of x squared, well that is equivalent to the absolute value of x.  This did not change my final answer, where is the tangent horizontal, but I inadvertently changed the function.  The correct process is displayed in the following scene.
