Graphing Exponential Functions w/ t-table or Transformations

In this lesson I start by setting up the example with you.  Then at 15:08 I show you how to find the Point of Tangency when given the equation of the tangent line and a circle.  In the first solution I work through the slope formula using the fact that the tangent line and radius are perpendicular.  The second method starting at 26:00 I just use straight substitution to solve the system of equations between the tangent line and the circle.

Graphing Ellipses & Circles

I work through three examples of solving a Quadratic Equation using the Quadratic Formula.
Example 1 at 3:40 has no solution
Example 2 at 9:04 reviews how to simplify radicals and give your answer in exact form. 
Example 3 at 15:20 shows why you do not want to divide away a variable.  I then show how to work the problem by factoring and using the Quadratic Formula.

Along the way I also give some cautionary notes to help make sure you don't make sign errors or divide away one of your answers.

Graphing Parabolas w/ vertex & intercepts

I restart and finish the example from Complex Numbers Part 1.  I solve a quadratic equation and find a solution that is a pair of complex numbers.  I then graph the parabola to explain why we found the solution to be imaginary.

Rationalizing Square Roots from Binomial Denominator

I introduce the basic structure of Parabolas.  After the introductory notes, I work through three examples from easy to the hardest example last.  These examples are put into Standard Form before graphing by completing the square when needed.
(FYI ...Latus rectum is Latin for 'right side' or more literally side right) 
Also "Latus rectum" is a compound of the Latin latus, meaning "side," and rectum, meaning "straight."
